Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Provide evidence for surgical versus nonsurgical repair of Achilles ruptures.
  • Discuss outcomes and indications for direct versus indirect Achilles repair.
  • Review the roles of adjunctive procedures such as gastrocnemius recessions and FHL in Achilles augmentation in acute and chronic management of Achilles injury.
