Healthy Beginnings Conference
This is a live, in-person educational activity. The Healthy Beginnings Conference can provide new ideas, help refine your existing concepts, and share resources, programs, and education to benefit your role as a Healthy Beginnings Coordinator. This is also an opportunity to meet leaders and strengthen your professional network connections with other Healthy Beginnings Coordinators from other Health Systems. You will gain insights and benefit from perspectives and fresh ideas from keynote speakers.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Social Workers.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- discuss how to recognize signs and symptoms of postpartum depression in patients throughout their pregnancy and postpartum
- discuss importance of referral to Nurse Family Partnership Program for management of 1st time moms
- identify benefits of infants sleeping on their backs
- describe the risks of infants not sleeping on their backs and in own sleeping space
