Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- determine the technical adequacy of EMG testing and be able to correct technical problems when they arise.
- determine the appropriateness and completeness of an EMG for a patient’s complaint.
- correctly create a differential diagnosis for a patient’s complaint based on the history, clinical examination, and EMG/laboratory testing.
- direct further patient evaluation and when appropriate manage the underlying disease and symptoms.
