At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

• Review most relevant research and guidelines regarding epilepsy in pregnancy including seizure frequency during pregnancy, folic acid use, fetal effects of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, therapeutic drug monitoring, and breastfeeding. ​
• Discuss counseling strategies for women of childbearing potential with epilepsy.
