At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Differentiate True COPD Exacerbations from common mimics & overlapping clinical syndromes
  • Use of nebulized bronchodilators during acute exacerbations in the hospital
  • Explain, LABA/LAMA do not improve acute exacerbation outcomes
  • Compare, Inhaled vs systemic corticosteroids in acute COPDE
  • Review, using blood eosinophil counts to individualize steroid therapy
