At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Review current evidence-based approach to rapid sequence intubation (RSI) in pediatric emergency department patients.
  • Compare the pharmacology, clinical efficacy, and safety considerations of succinylcholine and rocuronium. 
  • Evaluate a current clinical trial comparing these two agents in pediatric RSI.
  • Apply evidence and guideline recommendations to patient specific scenarios.
