Series Overview

Foundations in Medical Education offers participants an opportunity to attend a live, virtual one-hour session that focuses on one of following four foundational topics in medical education: learning theory, clinical teaching, classroom teaching, and assessment and evaluation. Like Foundations in Medical Education, Foundations in Health Systems Science is designed as 50-minute lectures and will be offered via videoconference with live recording. The goal is to expand the understanding and incorporation of Health System Science concepts into our curriculum and programs to equip our learners and faculty to appreciate the broader healthcare system, the social determinants of health, cost management, system improvement, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
