Reflective Practice
Enduring - This is a virtual, asynchronous educational session that is part of the Center for Faculty and Professional Development’s Foundations in Medical Education series.
Foundations in Medical Education offers participants an opportunity to attend a live, virtual one-hour session that focuses on one of following four foundational topics in medical education: learning theory, clinical teaching, classroom teaching, and assessment and evaluation.
Target Audience
Residents & fellow PDs, APDs, faculty & coordinators, medical students, clerkship directors & coordinators, clinical staff, advanced practitioners, CE activity directors, faculty & organizers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- summarize key parts of humanistic learning theory and define reflective practice
- apply reflective practice to examine own teaching/programs and identify areas of strength and improvement.
