Target Audience
This activity is designed for Physicians, Advance Practitioners (PA, CRNP), Pharmacists, Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists. Other learner groups such as Medical Students, Residents, Fellows, and Dietitians would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1. describe the rationale and clinical need for studying different durations of device‑based fever prevention after out‑of‑hospital cardiac arrest.
2. interpret the key clinical outcomes measured in the trial, including neurologic recovery and survival, and evaluate how duration of fever prevention may influence these outcomes.
3. evaluate the methodology and primary outcomes of the REVISE randomized controlled trial.
4. explain why pantoprazole is effective at preventing clinically and patient‑important upper GI bleeding without increasing mortality or major infectious complications
