The 12th Annual Pulmonary Medicine Symposium
This is a hybrid educational activity.
The Annual Pulmonary CME Symposium highlights the local and global updates important for your practice in the field of Pulmonary Medicine. This conference is relevant for all of those who help care for patients with respiratory diseases across the spectrum of medicine.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers and case managers.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- identify the diverse range of clinical manifestations of patients with interstitial lung disease and the initial approach to timely diagnosis
- identify the state-of-the-art current management strategies for the care of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, including and understanding of current initiatives active within our institution
- identify current invasive and non-invasive management options for patients with pleural disease, with a particular focus on malignant pleural disease and infected pleural disease in a multidisciplinary fashion
- identify a proper diagnostic pathway for a patient with concerns for pulmonary hypertension
- recognize currently available pulmonary devices and proper utility, including respiratory assist devices, oxygen modalities and inhaled medication delivery systems
- demonstrate increase in comfort and confidence levels in identifying important chest radiographic findings
Travel
The Henry Hood Center for Health Research is located on the Geisinger Campus in Danville, Pennsylvania (Montour County), Exit 224 on Interstate 80. Routes 11 and 54 also intersect in Danville.
This conference will also be a virtual educational activity using Microsoft Teams. When you register for this activity and select virtual participation, the Microsoft Teams link will be sent to you one week prior to the conference.
