  • Determine the legal landscape: Overview of Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana program, evolving federal policies, and the growing gray market of hemp-derived THC products.

  • Identify safety and clinical considerations: Cannabis can interact with common medications (e.g., drugs that affect the brain, blood thinners and heart medications) and may affect cognition, coordination, and your heart.

  • Discuss responsible use and product awareness: Medical and non-medical products vary widely in THC/CBD content, dosing, and formulation—understanding product sources, potency, and labeling is essential.
