At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Discuss environmental chemicals and the sources of exposure
  • Summarize the evidence linking exposure to these chemicals and health outcomes
  • Classify ways to reduce exposure and the evidence for the role of positive health behaviors in modifying exposure
  • Describe the common sources of PFAS contamination and PFAS contamination in the Geisinger community
  • Examine the role of preventive care in education and risk reduction
