Session Description:  
The session builds the foundational concepts introduced in Session One by exploring how healthcare leaders can drive meaningful improvement within complex health systems. Participants will examine the principles of health systems improvement, value-based care, and patient safety, while considering how these concepts influence outcomes for patients, providers, and organizations. Through interactive activities and discussion, learners will shift from solution-focused thinking to problem-focused inquiry, learning how to identify meaningful outcomes, uncover root causes, and frame challenges more effectively. The session culminates in a design thinking workshop where participants practice refining opportunities for improvement through "How Might We" questions and other human-centered design tools that will support their longitudinal project work.
