Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- objective 1: Recognize the spectrum of anterior segment injuries following blunt trauma, including hyphema iridodialysis, traumatic mydriasis, angle recession, cyclodialysis, and zonular injury
- objective 2: Understand the evaluation and management of traumatic hyphema
- objective 3: recognize acute and delayed complications of traumatic hyphema including rebleeding, corneal blood staining, PAS, angle recession glaucoma, and cataract
- objective 4: Identify clinical findings that should raise suspicion for an open globe injury
