At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Describe the purpose and key recommendations of the 2024 AARC Clinical Practive Guideline on patient-ventilator assessment
- Explain how ventilator assessments such as plateau pressure, tidal volume, PEEP, driving pressure, and cuff pressure monitoring contribute to lung protective ventilation and patient safety
- Discuss how respiratory therapists can apply evidence-based patient-ventilator assessment strategies to improve outcomes in mechanically ventilated patients
