- Select initial patient settings based on mechanical ventilation protocol
- Associate techniques to adjust settings to maintain optimal settings for the patient clinical status
- Discuss optimization of oxygenation and ventilation status in patient
- Review unit plan for spontaneous breathing trails
- Record mechanical ventilation settings, measurements, alarms in patient EMR
- Examine APRV mode of ventilation
