At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  1. Provide adequate evidence through a comprehensive literature review to support the use of a direct plantar repair in the surgical management of plantar plate repair/reconstruction.
  2. Provide adequate evidence through a comprehensive literature review to support the use of an indirect plantar repair in the surgical management of plantar plate repair/reconstruction.
  3. Present pertinent outcomes-driven case studies to substantiate each position to effectively sway the audience to support one surgical approach over another.
