Session Description: This session introduces participants to innovative tools and strategies that enhance learner engagement and outcomes in medical education. The day begins with an exploration of educational technologies and the potential of generative artificial intelligence to support teaching and learning. Participants will identify and implement tools or AI applications that align with their curricular goals. Building on this foundation, the session transitions to curriculum design, where learners will develop goals and learning objectives tailored to their educational context. Using Kern’s 6-step approach, they will differentiate between goals and objectives and apply established frameworks to write clear, measurable objectives that address identified needs. Participants will also learn to construct goals and objectives that guide instructional methods and assessment strategies. Following this content, dedicated mentor discussion time will allow participants to reflect on their learning and collaboratively refine the goals and objectives for their individual curriculum projects.
