Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Explain what transfusion associated circulatory overload (TACO) is and why it's a significant and potentially fatal transfusion reaction.
- Identify risk factors that predispose patients to TACO and incorporate that into their transfusion management.
- Describe the genetic subtypes of classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) identified through circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis, and explain how mechanisms of genetic instability—rather than functional DNA alterations—drive these subtypes.
- Discuss the clinical implications of ctDNA-based profiling in cHL, including its role in risk stratification, treatment personalization, and the identification of novel mutational hotspots such as the BCL6 super enhancer.
