Series Overview

Familiarity with current medical literature is a fundamental element of delivering value-based care, which is a principle of the mission of Geisinger Health. The content of the activity is designed to supplement the medical knowledge, procedural knowledge, professional practice and evidence-based assessment skill of emergency medicine physicians.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for practicing, board certified or board eligible emergency medicine physicians, and those with interest in emergency medicine, including osteopathic physicians. Other learner groups such as advanced practitioners, nurses, and nursing support would also benefit from this education.

Accreditation 

In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

 

The Geisinger College of Health Sciences is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. 

 

Credit Designation 

Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity.

The Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this program for a maximum of 1.5 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credit commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
