Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Interpret clinical, surgical and pathologic dermatology and strengthen clinical applications.
  • Discuss the recent pathology literature relevant to dermatology.
  • Recognize cardinal features of childhood connective tissue disease and how they may differ from findings in adults.
  • Adopt simple pearls to enhance diagnostic skills in children with skin of color
  • Appreciate how poverty and immigration may influence pediatric diagnoses seen in clinical practice.
  • Identify and diagnose severe dermatologic conditions during patient viewing.
  • Identify and diagnose severe dermatologic conditions during inpatient stays.
