Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Describe the function and indications for HFOV 3100A in the neonatal population
  • Explain the difference between PPHN and MAS and treatment differences for each disease when using the HFOV 3100A in the neonatal population
  • Describe the ABG and CXR interpretation based on PPHN and MAS and how to manage a patient correctly when transitioning from conventional to HFOV ventilation
  • Recognize the indications for using HFJV over HFOV and the differences between the two
  • Describe the settings for HFJV and how to adequately apply and use in a neonatal patient
  • Indications for usage of conventional settings when using HFJV and describe what they can be used to help with
