  • describe principles of cancer pain assessment, including pathophysiology, etiologies, and grading systems ​
  • describe current pharmacologic cancer-related pain management principles
  • describe the drug characteristics that impact the safety and efficacy of opioids​
  • characterize the appropriate use of buprenorphine and methadone for cancer-related pain​
