At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Differentiate pathophysiologic differences in obstructive and central sleep apnea.
  • Appraise current evidence for the role of phrenic nerve stimulation for treatment of CSA and hypoglossal nerve stimulation for treatment of OSA.
  • Discuss strategies for better management of sleep apnea in the context of patient’s comorbidities.
