At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Explain why retraining clinicians or staff may be less effective than passively educating patients.
- Restate at least two ways in which patient understanding was improved by momentary educational interventions.
- Identify one opportunity to partner with researchers to test how passive education can improve antibiotic prescribing.
