Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

•Identify the various locations within electronic health records (EHR) where cannabis use information is documented.
•Discuss the methods used to curate cannabis use data from both discrete and non-discrete sources within EHR.
•Analyze the prevalence estimates of cannabis use documentation and how these estimates have evolved over a 9.5-year period, particularly in the context of marijuana legalization in Pennsylvania.
•Evaluate the demographic and clinical characteristics of patients identified as cannabis users.
•Assess the implications of the findings for future research.
