Series Overview
Researchers, educators, and clinicians conducting research under the newly structured College of Health Sciences strive to conduct impactful and meaningful research programs/studies that will capitalize on improving patient outcomes through enhanced clinical care and practice. Given Geisinger's robust MyCode community health initiative and advanced Electronic Health Records (EHR), our researchers have one-of-a-kind resources available to them to help advance these initiatives. To improve communications amongst these groups, promote collaborations and external funding opportunities, and foster mentoring opportunities for our fellows, residents, and students, we have created the "Clinical Research Grand Rounds" monthly presentation series. The overarching goal of the Clinical Research Grand Rounds is to highlight new and upcoming research across the College to foster collaborations/mentorship opportunities, develop new clinical questions, increase knowledge of best practices in research and research methods, bridge research findings with patient outcomes in clinical setting, and provide tools and data resources available to teams to build robust, competitive research programs.
