Mentorship for Promotion Workshop - May 13, 2025

This is an in-person educational activity. This workshop is designed to empower system leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to help advance the careers of their colleagues through effective mentorship. Participants will learn how to leverage mentorship relationships to achieve professional growth and secure promotions. By the end of this workshop, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to utilize mentorship as a strategic tool for career advancement and will be equipped with practical strategies to achieve their promotion goals and the goals of their mentees. 
 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Academic Chairs or their delegates. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • define mentorship and its importance in career development
  • disucss how to find and approach potential mentees
  • establish clear, achievable goals for mentorship and relationships
  • develop strong communication skills to roster productive mentor-mentee interactions
  • create a structured plan to guide the mentorship process

Attendance
Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
